In all areas of medicine, treatment works only if it is selected correctly. The Observ 520 apparatus is a modern installation that takes images of the face in several spectra within 15 minutes and allows the doctor to assess the condition of the epidermis, dermis and subcutaneous fat.
Installation options
For a comprehensive assessment of the condition of the skin and subcutaneous structures (adipose tissue and blood vessels), the device takes pictures in several light spectra:
- white light is used to assess the sebaceous glands of the skin;
- Wood’s lamp (black light lamp) is used to assess the condition of the skin in the ultraviolet spectrum;
- cross-polarized light allows you to assess the structure of the deep layers of the dermis and underlying tissues;
- parallel-polarized illumination displays changes in the structure of the epidermis.
The resulting images are displayed on a tablet and stored in an individual customer card. The doctor can return to them when re-diagnosed.
Multiple light spectra images allow the physician to assess the following structures:
- skin microrelief at maximum image magnification – small cracks, wrinkles, skin defects;
- skin lesions by bacterial flora – opportunistic microorganisms are present in every person, with a decrease in local immunity, they actively multiply and lead to the formation of limited or widespread inflammation;
- areas of hyperpigmentation and hypopigmentation, including age spots;
- vessels of the skin and subcutaneous fat – adequate blood flow maintains normal metabolism in skin cells and constantly stimulates regeneration;
- pores – narrowed or enlarged – an indicator of malfunctioning of the sebaceous glands, which causes acne and comedones;
- areas of hyperkeratosis that form after acne, acne, surgery;
- acne and comedones are a consequence of malfunctioning of the glands of external secretion;
- the sebaceous glands and the assessment of their work – excess secretion production is a good breeding ground for microflora reproduction and the appearance of an oily sheen on the skin;
- areas of hypohydration – dehydration of the skin leads to a slowdown in metabolism, loss of elasticity and discoloration of the skin.
Assessment of structural changes in the skin is necessary to identify wrinkles that are just forming and are still invisible during a routine examination by a cosmetologist. It is much easier to work on them than on already formed deep wrinkles. With the right treatment, the patient receives a pronounced clinical effect.
The built-in mirror function allows the patient to evaluate the result in parallel with the doctor and ask all the questions of interest.
Photos taken in full face and profile often become the basis for future face contouring and non-surgical lifting. You can re-pass the study after the course of radio wave lifting in order to fully evaluate the result.
Procedure Execution
No special preparation is required for a diagnostic study on the device. The only thing is that before the procedure, it is necessary to remove makeup from the face and any remnants of creams, if such have been used within 12 hours. They can distort the picture somewhat when magnified in normal light.
Diagnostics takes place in several stages:
- Make-up removal, if any.
- Fixation of the head in a special device.
- Alternate exposure to different light spectra.
- Image acquisition and doctor’s opinion.
The diagnosis is completely painless and does not cause discomfort. During the session, you must close your eyes to exclude damage to the retina by ultraviolet light.
After the procedure, the client receives his photos and the doctor’s conclusions by e-mail or removable media. Based on the results obtained, an individual program of treatment and skin care is drawn up for each client.
After treatment, a second diagnosis is performed to assess the results (especially if the activity of pathogenic microflora was detected during the procedure). A control study is carried out 12 months after the first visit. The doctor and the patient together compare the dynamics of changes in the images. If necessary, correction of therapy is carried out.
